About

Shanice Allen

Founder and Director

Hi, I'm Shanice the heart and soul behind SENPower Tutoring! Throughout my teaching career, I have witnessed how my holistic teaching approach has positively impacted my students' lives. They have such a drive and determination to not only thrive academically but also to succeed in life.

Being neurodivergent myself, I know that school can be a daunting and sometimes traumatic place especially for SEND learners. This can often make them feel isolated, disengaged and create potential barriers for learning.

I strongly believe that one to one tuition is a great way to break down these barriers.  I am a living testament to this!  â€‹

I provide private tuition and Study Skills Support to students from various socio- economic and ethnic backgrounds.

I love serving pupils and their families from all walks of life. However, I believe more can be done to support and empower our students from black and ethnic minorities (BAME) in the UK. This was why I created SENPower Tutoring as I believe our company is vital for the communities we serve.

Our Process

What makes SENPower Tutoring Different?

At SENPower Tutoring, our team of qualified tutors are of Black or  Mixed Heritage from the UK. This makes us different compared to other tutoring companies, as we are relatable and compassionate towards the communities we serve.

We work with families through consistent, open communication to set clear goals and expectations, share insights into your child's strengths, weaknesses and develop a collaborative learning plan.  We build strong partnerships by active listening, providing regular progress updates, celebrating successes together, creating a supportive and effective environment for your child's education.
