All teachers are certified tutors and instructors in the UK.

  • SENPower Tutoring aims to close the gap in educational support for Black and brown pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) by providing culturally responsive, specialist tutoring and mentoring. Our approach combines academic support with emotional understanding and representation — ensuring that pupils see themselves reflected in their educators.

  • At SENPower Tutoring, we believe true learning happens when every part of a child is nurtured — mind, heart, and confidence. Our holistic approach blends academic support with emotional wellbeing, helping each learner feel understood, valued, and capable.

    We create calm, encouraging spaces where students can explore their strengths, build resilience, and rediscover the joy of learning. By focusing on emotional growth alongside educational progress, we empower children to thrive — not just succeed in school, but in life.

  • In partnership with local authorities, schools, and community organisations, SENPower will collaborate to identify underrepresented pupils who require additional SEN support, particularly those at risk of exclusion or underachievement. We also plan to work with professionals from the NHS and CAMHS to create integrated support plans for pupils whose learning differences are linked with mental health needs.

Shanice Allen

We believe every child deserves to feel understood, capable, and confident in their learning.

  • As someone who has dyslexia, I know first-hand how easily children with SEND can feel overlooked or underestimated.

    I understand the frustration that comes from knowing you are capable, yet not being supported in a way that works for you. I also understand how confidence can quietly diminish when the system does not adapt.

    That experience shaped me.

    It is the reason I founded SENPower Tutoring.

    My mission is simple. To provide personalised, structured, and compassionate academic support that meets each learner where they are and helps them move forward with clarity and confidence.
